august update! (early I know)....

hellooo,

Just a  little update,  as I am moving tomorrow - yay! but unfortunately will not have internet until the 15th (silly sky!) I literally don't know what i'm going to spend my time doing, like most lazy students, I spend a shameful amount of my day on my laptop in the holidays, but you never know i might pick up a new hobby, or just spend too much time shopping and spending more money :/ .

I am telling you this to explain the lack of posts that'll be coming. I hope (fingers crossed) I'll be able to do a few posts in between on my phone and other computers, but we never know! however this move does mean I should hopefully have so home decorating post and will defintely be posting the finished look of my new room!

also in august, I am...

1. off to Brighton for a night ( hope the weather stays nice and can get some nice OOTD's on the beach!).
2. my as level exam results come out on the 16th! starting to get nervous now.
3. v festival ! soo unbelievable excited - not for camping mind, im dreading that (not a camping girl) but the whole experience will be way worth it!
4. holiday at end of august, still unsure of the destination ( it's all very last minute) but its definately pencilled in for a nice summer break before heading back to college.

beauty review: l'oreal mascara

they say : 'infinite length effect fibres'

whilst having a quick noise around my local super drug I spotted the l'oreal false lash telescopic mascara on offer for £8.99 instead of the usual £10.99. I usually stick to what I know and don't like to experiment much on the more expensive mascaras, but id heard great things about this and so couldn't resist.

The brush is great for catching all them smaller annoying lashes in the corners, and it bends on the wand to allow you to really work at getting long lashes. I am a huge fan of this mascara and was completely blown away with how well it worked. my lashes were darker, longer and fuller than with any other mascara. usually I have to apply two or even three different mascaras to receive my desired look, but in the last week or so i've been applying a few coats of this on its own and being extremely happy with the results.

two coats of the mascara

This is my new go to mascara and since having this I have been neglecting my others! I would definitely recommend this and when it eventually runs out, I will be heading straight off to replace it, even at the £10.99 price tag it is definitely worth it in my eyes!

OOTD: walking on sunshine

Today was super hot again! yay! but my back got even more burnt :(  its soo sore, but my own fault for not putting enough sun cream on when I went to the outdoor pool the other day.

I was having a driving lesson today so wanted to be comfy and cool, so wore these pale blue topshop shorts from last year, with this  floral print baby doll top from primark a few years ago. on my feet I just wore basic brown dolly shoe from new look as they're easiest to drive!

hope you like the outfit, and had a lovely day in the sun, i'm off to the outdoor pool again tommorow hope it stays this nice! :D

Wednesday wishlist #1

 1. mac fix +
The website says it fixes make-up and adds radiance which is exactly what I look for in products to use in summer, it'll help revitalise my look throughout the day and add moisture too! and at £7.50 for a bottle im definitely going to pick it up next time I'm near a mac counter.

2.HD eye + brow palette
I hate eyebrows. that may sound weird but I truly dislike even having them, but to look normal - ish, I must keep them, tame them and try to make them look as good a possible. from what i've read, this is the best of the best in eyebrow products, and could possibly make me like my eyebrows a bit more!

3. sandals Dorothy Perkins
These are super cute with the bow and are classsicly simple and sturdy. Im used to having sandals with toe parts( don't know a proper name) but love this style!

4. essie nail polish in bikini so teeny
The name just screams summer and is a pale blue that will look great with a tan ( once I get one and stop burning. ahhh).

5. camoflaugue shorts from topshop
These are going on my festival wishlist as i'm going to v festival soon ( 24 days to be exact!), and will also work well with tights in winter!.

hoping that a weekly Wednesday wishlist has started and hope you like it. and if anyone has the HD brow palette/ kit, is it worth the money or is there better alternatives?
                                                                       xoxo

OOTD: sun's come to say hello!

I woke up this morning and the sun had come out! so you guessed it i had to wear a dress to make the most of it! hope you like it.

denim jacket topshop
dress H&M / belt primark.

I got this great basic yellow dress from the h&m sale for just £7. what a bargain!  it has a yellow tie belt around it but i wore this black primark one instead.

generally as its the first sunny day im not jumping to get my pale legs out so i put on tights but it was so hot,  i took them off half way through! I also didn't wear the jacket all day, but I like to take it with me if im going out  as it can get chilly quickly in England.

i paired it with this grey zara messenger bag which I recently got for my birthday and i use it almost everyday its the right size and I love the rose gold detailing!

hope you enjoyed a sunny UK day!

beauty review: lush lip scrub

After reading a few reviews on this product and struggling with dry chapped lips from the constant changes in weather year around in the UK, this lip scrub from lush became my most wanted item, so when passing their store on a recent trip, I just had to try it!
unfortunately they only had three 'flavours' to choose from, mint (which I hate the smell of), chocolate and bubblegum. I wasn't fond of the chocolate so went for the bright pink pot. it doesn't smell exactly like bubblegum but it is a nice sweet smell.

At first i wasn't sure what to do but soon realised you just gently pat the pot and the sugar sticks to your finger, scrub it on the lips and then just lick off the excess as its all completely natural and edible! *bonus*

although I love this product and it does leave you with smooth lips as it promises, at the end of the day : you're paying £5.25 for a pot of flavoured/coloured sugar! maybe not such a bargain after all ...

i've been shopping!

Last week I went shopping in cambridge for the first time, and was pleasantly surprised! Between the two shopping centres they had every shop you could wish for! I picked up these beauties:

topshop camouflage jacket / topshop stripe shirt

primark pyjama shorts/ primark LOVE belt

River island watch / l'oreal telescope mascara/  lush lip scrub

I absolutely love the camouflage/utility jacket, its oversized but quite lightweight for an autumn look, although with this rubbish summer were having, ive already had some wear out of it! there was only about four left in the shop so I was lucky they had my size! and talking to the lovely women on the tills, she was saying that they had only just got the jackets in that morning and they were nearly sold out already!  ive seen a few similar jacket in other shops too so it seems to be a popular style this summer/autumn/ winter.

The primark belt was a massive bargain at £3 as i'd been eyeing up the topshop 'dream' one for more than 5x that price! i think it looks great at the waist with dresses and skirts especially.

The watch was reasonably priced at £25, as a substitute for the micheal kors watches ive been lusting over! its heavy enough to feel good quality but is comfy to wear, however its quite loose on me as my wrists are strangely small, so i may go get a link or two taken out at some point. at first i thought it was a rose gold colour wich im loving , but in the sunlight it does seem a more gold colour - but i still love it!
